The first step in starting a We Cell is to define the goals of the organization. We Cell aims to provide industrial exposure to students interested in entrepreneurship programs, increase the international competencies of females by providing an international network and exchange program, provide direct access to a pool of resources and mentors, and conduct joint outreach awareness activities to encourage student startup programs across the country. In addition, We Cell aims to train students in the preparation of B-plan competitions and to train college faculty to familiarize them with new innovations and recent developments in the ecosystem.
Once the goals of the organization have been defined, the next step is to select the student and advisory body. The student body consists of eight motivated and talented students who conduct the day-to-day affairs of the cell. The advisory body consists of a mix of five professors and alumni who oversee the activities of the cell and guide the student body.
The short-term goals of the We Cell include planning in coordination with Womennovator, raising funds and creating awareness about We Cell, and working on a project to develop the cell and kickstart the career of its members.
The long-term goals of We Cell involve defining a long-term vision for the organization with objectives and sharing an actionable plan to achieve them.
The governing council of We Cell consists of the principal of the school and college, one Womennovator representative, one representative of the student committee, one ex-government official, two industry leaders, and one legal and finance official. The governing council is responsible for overseeing the activities of the cell and ensuring that it operates within the guidelines of the organization.
